Week 4 non teaching week

This week has been a week off for all of us, but our group still manage to make it to the team meeting. Tuesday was usually our team meeting day, but this week due to the social club events we were forced to push it back to the events after the social club, which made an awakard situation for me, i had to attend an event else where, but i still manage to attend parts of the meeting. The day started as all of our team members attending the social club, our team meeting was scheduled after the social club ended, which to my surprise it did not end until 230 pm, but it was ok for me and most of our team members, as we had some fun moments during the social club. Our team gathered after 230pm, which we were able to discuss some points that needs to be dressed, before i left i was able to give some personal opinion on the business card design, cladi who was the designer did a good job, which gave us a variety of options to choose from, i was amazed at the amount of choice we had, all credit to cladi. It was a hard choice as all of the design was impressive, i didn't know where i should start from, but towards the end of my time at the meeting, i chose a design which i thought was suitable to the team, now im awaits the answer, but i'm sure any of the choice the team makes will be impressive.

Week 4

Finally this week we got to meet our client, it was very exciting moment to be waited for, it was my first experience of encounter a company. The day started with alot of hope and eagerness, our group had a lot of question marks over our head as to what should we expect and what kind of results we might get, but our team's preparation was exceptional with the likes of all team members preparing for the bit, and a special praise to ben (sorry ben last week i probably was unconsiouse when i did my blog) who is our team leader organised everything well. During the meeting session with our client we got alot of information back from them, the company representative described its functions and duties, needs and wants well, which gave us alot of inside information to their company, we also recieved some paper work which would relate to the tasks, i was surprised the client has actually prepared for us, he has done a bit of homework for the whole class which was pleasing. This week i wasn't able to attend the meeting on tuesday morning due to some personal reason. But on monday we were able to gather together and signed off some of the documents that required as a our team is working our way towards professionalism.

FIT3047 third week

In the previous week, our group has making a rapid progress to our IE assignment, we have been able to setup the facebook blog which allows all the members to communicate including me who wasn't too familiar with the website, now i have been updating the progress of the team daily. i was appointed as a senior documentor to the team, which was a previlage, this week we have been working on the standard and governance, the members of the team has been making comments and discussing issues regarding the document on facebook.
we had a few meetings each week, on the tuesday session our team was able to discuss the issues and needs to improvments needed to our documents, luke our team leader has discussed the new addons to our document which we are required to understand, and our team members were required to think of anychanges that should be made to the document. the standard and governance are scheduled to be due this friday, but i think our team is making a rapid progress in this particular document, i have put my bits in by making suggestions to what should be done and not, but my main role should be coming in later on.

FIT3047 second week

Its already the second week of our IE, last week i met my group members for the first time, and got to know them a bit. During the monday class this week, we begin to choose the system of our project, from the topics given by jack and pod, each of the group members gave they own opinion on each individual system, i personally thought to choose from debtors, payroll and payment system, it is relative easier to choose debtors, due to the fact that all information and data will be coming in, and we only had to record information and data coming from externals. when it came to decision time, the group thoroughly discussed each system, and how each of the system can or cannot work out for the group, we put all of our views on the table and gave reasons to why or why not this system will not be suitable to our team, but at the end the majority of the group members agreed on debtors, so i think it is a good start. towards the end of the class we have made a first meeting time, which was tuesday at 10.
On tuesday i arrived abit late due to the family reasons, but i was able to catch up with all the team members for a few hours, during the session i was able to set up my facebook account and Ben who taught me how to actually use the face book, which was really good, because the team has setup and discussion board on facebook that allows all the team members to post its own views and schedual onto it, so that other than meeting at uni we could also discuss online and at the sametime i've setup my blogger.com account. during the meeting i got to know my team members a bit more, which was very welcome, it was the first time i've worked with them, and i think it is a previlage to work with ben, cladi, rowen and yee. i will certainly do my best to help them out and helf myself achieve a good score this year, it is also my last year before i graduate. the afternoon meeting i wasn't able to attend because of a class in clayton.
